Progress!

Finally everything is starting to fall into place. With my residency sorted out last week, things have started to come together. Residency led to driving license. Residency also means I can sponsor my family to join me so this afternoon I went to the downtown office to sign the paperwork for Brit & Marie’s residency application now that Brit and I are officially married again. (Our marriage certificate to get attested has travelled Stavanger-Oslo-Stavanger-Dubai-London-Dubai-Stavanger-Stockholm-Stavanger-Oslo-Stavanger-Stockholm-Stavanger-Dubai)


Got the house finally sorted, and got power and water connected today. Application for the telephone, internet and cable TV subscriptions is on the way. Also with a tenancy contract I could apply for an alcohol license, so life is really looking up…

On the way back to the hotel, I bought a car (needed both residency and driving license).
Also Marie got offered a space in Dubai International Academy yesterday which we decided we would accept today.
Went to the house tonight to check things through with power and water on, and found a few more maintenance items to fix before moving in.

Hopefully should be moved out of the hotel during the weekend.


You know you have been in a hotel too long when you come home from work and find they have left a birthday cake in your apartment….

Movers coming to Tananger tomorrow to move pack and send the airshipment. Still need some furniture to put in the house...
